IPL playoffs are knockout games which are contested among 4 top-performing teams in the IPL points table. There are three phases in the IPL playoffs which have been termed as qualifiers, eliminators, and finals, respectively.
What are Qualifiers in IPL?
Qualifiers is the name of the knockout games in the IPL wherein the top finishers battle it out in the middle to get a chance to play in the finals of the IPL.
There are two Qualifiers in the IPL which are referred to as Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2. Qualifier 1 is a game played among the teams who stand at 1st and 2nd positions in the IPL points table, while Qualifier 2 is a game played among the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator.

What is an Eliminator in IPL?
Eliminator is a knockout game between the 4th placed and 3rd placed teams in the IPL points table. The winning team of the eliminator gets an opportunity to play against the Qualifier 1 losing team in a match known as Qualifier 2 of the IPL.
What is IPL Final?
IPL final is the final game of the IPL season; it is played between the two teams who won Qualifier 1 and 2 to determine the winners of the IPL season.
